Big congratulations are in order for the Staffordshire County Football Association! They've been shortlisted for two national awards, recognising their brilliant work in making local football more welcoming and sustainable for everyone.
The awards, run by The FA, will be announced at Wembley Stadium on November 6th. Staffordshire FA's projects are among a record number of nominations from all over England.
Here's a closer look at the fantastic projects that have been recognised:
Club 28: This program helps local football clubs become more stable and long-lasting. Instead of just giving advice, the Staffordshire FA team gets "on the ground" with clubs, offering face-to-face support and creating tailored plans to help them grow. It's all about helping our local teams thrive and build a brighter future.
Black, South Asian & Mixed Heritage Coaching Group: This project was created to give a platform to coaches from historically underrepresented communities across Staffordshire. It's a place for them to connect, get support for coaching qualifications, and share their experiences, helping to shape the future of the game.

According to Staffordshire FA CEO Adam Evans, being shortlisted is a proud moment that reflects the organisation's values. He said the nominations show the importance of listening and learning to "create opportunities for everyone to belong, contribute, and thrive."
This is a fantastic story for the people of mid-Staffordshire. It highlights the dedication of local organisations to making our communities better, whether it's on the football pitch or behind the scenes.
