Intro
The Staffordshire Spotter is a local platform that helps people discover Mid Staffordshire. I share positive stories, local guides and community updates across Stafford and the surrounding area, supported by local businesses.
If you run a business and want long-term visibility (not short-term promo), the Partner Membership is designed to help customers find you through the website and guides over time.

What you get as a Partner (£60 per year)
1) A proper business listing on the website
You’ll receive an enhanced directory listing so people can find you when they’re actively searching. Your listing can include:
-
Location and service area
-
Short & long description
-
Website and contact details
-
Key info customers look for (opening hours, booking info, accessibility, etc.)
-
Relevant categories so you appear in the right places on the site
2) Inclusion in relevant guides (when it fits)
Partners are prioritised for inclusion in guides that match what you offer, for example:
-
Places to Eat & Drink
-
Things To Do
-
Transport and travel services
-
Places to Stay
-
Local specialist guides (seasonal and themed)
This is designed to build ongoing discovery from Google, not just one post that disappears after 24 hours.
3) Credible local presence
Being listed as a Partner helps show you’re part of the local community and supports the work I do covering Mid Staffordshire.
What this membership doesn’t include (so expectations are clear)
To keep coverage fair and the platform useful for residents, Partner Membership does not include:
-
Guaranteed Facebook posts
-
Regular promotional shout-outs
-
Dedicated “educational” blog articles about your business
-
Unlimited content creation
If you need a launch campaign or a bigger promotional push, that can be discussed separately.
Can you still send updates?
Yes. If you have genuine local news, I’m happy to consider it editorially, for example:
-
You’re opening a new premises or relocating
-
A community fundraiser or charity collaboration
-
A local milestone that matters to residents
I’ll always keep coverage factual and community-focused.
Who Partner Membership is best for
-
Businesses that want to be found on Google over time
-
Physical businesses people can visit locally
-
Services people regularly search for (transport, trades, professional services, etc.)
-
Organisations that want a steady presence in local guides

Why paid when free listings exist?
I include some free listings to help build a useful local guide. Partner listings are what help fund the time spent building guides, improving the website and covering community stories.
Partners receive stronger visibility across the site and priority placement in relevant guides.
FAQ
-
What’s the difference between a free listing and a Partner listing?
-
Free listings may appear on the site as it grows. Partner listings are prioritised, more detailed, and included in relevant guides to improve long-term visibility.
-
-
Do Partners get Facebook posts?
-
Not guaranteed. My Facebook pages are primarily for community coverage and local interest content, not constant advertising.
-
-
Can I request to be included in a guide?
-
You can ask, and if it fits the guide and the reader, I’ll include you. Partners are prioritised where relevant.
-
-
Can you write a blog post about my business?
-
Only if it’s editorially relevant to the local area (opening, relocation, charity/community milestone). Dedicated promotional articles are outside the Partner Membership.
-
-
Do you guarantee sales or enquiries?
-
No. What I provide is visibility and discoverability, especially through search and guides over time.
-
-
Can I update my listing later?
-
Yes. Send changes (hours, services, links, etc.) and I’ll update your Partner listing.
-
-
Is this just for Stafford?
-
No. Coverage includes Stafford and wider Mid Staffordshire. The website is being built to support growth across multiple towns.
-
-
How long does it take to set up?
-
Typically quick once I have the details, depending on current workload.
-
-
Do you work with charities and community groups?
-
Yes. I often cover charities and community groups without charge when it’s relevant and useful for local residents.
