Burton Manor Primary School Celebrates 70th Birthday with Themed Dress-Up and Music Day

Stafford's Burton Manor Primary School recently celebrated a major milestone, its 70th birthday, with a full day of themed activities for its pupils. The celebration saw students from various year groups stepping back in time with a dress-up day and a series of fun, educational events.

The school's Facebook page shared insights into the day, highlighting how students in Years three and four focused on the 1960s. They explored key events of the decade, including the moon landing, and learned about school life, music, and television from the era. As part of their project, they created fact files and new logos for the school, showcasing their creativity.

Meanwhile, students in Years five and six donned 1970s attire, adding to the day's nostalgic feel. The highlight for many of the students was a series of interactive drumming sessions, which ran throughout the day for children aged 5-11. The rhythmic sessions, provided with the support of the Entrust Music Service, brought an energetic and unique element to the birthday festivities.

The celebration successfully blended history, music, and hands-on learning, creating a memorable event for the entire school community and honouring seven decades of education in the area.
