Looking for something different for the kids to do this weekend? Tucked away at Gainsborough Works on St Patrick's Street is a brilliant creative space that you might not have discovered yet, but you definitely should. They are even offering a free taster session (more info at the end of the page)
We popped down to visit Ronnie and Emma MAKE to see what they’re all about, and we were blown away by the setup. While they have been established in Stafford for a while, they are one of those fantastic local spots that deserves a huge shout-out.
What is 'Ronnie and Emma MAKE'?
It’s a dedicated creative workshop space designed to get children hands-on with making, designing, and crafting. Run by the passionate duo Ronnie and Emma, the sessions are all about "curiosity-led" learning.
This means it’s not just about following instructions; it’s about experimentation, trial and error, and having fun with materials. From painting and gluing to more advanced techniques, it’s a messy, brilliant space where kids can just be kids.
Saturday Kids' Craft Classes
Their flagship Kids Craft Classes run every Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and are suitable for children aged 5-12 years old.
The sessions are designed to be flexible and engaging:
Drop & Shop: Parents can drop their children off for the full session and head into town for a coffee or to hit the shops, knowing their little ones are in safe, creative hands.
Choice of Activities: It's not just painting! Children can choose from a range of activities all under one roof, including art sessions and hands-on textiles workshops. Whether they want to build a model, paint a masterpiece, or work with fabric, the choice is theirs.
Hands-On Fun: The focus is on getting messy and making something unique. As their flyer says: "Paint, glue, glitter – who knows what they'll make, but it'll be awesome!"
