Wolverhampton Road closed due to accident in Stafford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision on Wolverhampton Road in Stafford involving a police motorcyclist and a car.

Stafford Borough Police said officers were called at 4.20pm on Tuesday 7 April to reports of a collision involving a police motorcyclist and a silver VW Passat on Wolverhampton Road.

The police officer, a man, was taken to hospital with injuries for further assessment.

Police said the driver of the car was not injured.

Appeal for witnesses

Officers are now asking for anyone who saw the collision, or who has any information or dashcam footage, to come forward.
