About the event

Step back in time at Stafford History Day, a free family friendly event taking place across Stafford Town Centre on 28 March from 10am to 4pm.

The day will celebrate Stafford’s rich heritage with a wide mix of activities, including historical tours, talks and presentations, re-enactments, exhibitions, indoor stalls, children’s activities and more.


Visitors will be able to explore well known local landmarks and heritage sites including St Mary’s Church, St Chad’s Church, Ancient High House, and the Alms Houses. There will also be activity at Stafford Library, the Gatehouse Theatre, Market Square, and the Staffordshire History Centre.


Highlights are set to include:

  • Historical town tours and heritage visits

  • Talks and presentations from local history experts
