Swimwell has confirmed that its new swimming lesson pool at Kingsmead Retail Park in Stafford will welcome its first lessons from Saturday 30 May 2026.

Bookings are now open for the new site, which is designed for swimming lessons only. It will not be open for public swimming.
Built around families
The new Stafford pool has been planned to make lessons easier for children and parents.
It includes:
Separate boys’ and girls’ changing rooms
Vanity stations with hairdryers
Space for parents to watch lessons
A small play area for siblings
Tables and desks for parents who need to work during lessons
Warm poolside and changing room areas to help children stay comfortable after swimming
The reception and viewing areas will be kept cooler than poolside, so parents are not sat in a space that feels too warm.
Who are the lessons for?
Swimwell offers swimming lessons for babies, children and teenagers, from early water confidence through to more advanced swimming.
They are also looking at potentially offering more sessions in the future, including:
Adult swimming lessons
Women-only sessions
SEND swimming
From empty unit to new swim school
The Kingsmead unit had been empty for several years before plans were put forward for Swimwell to move in.
Plans for a swimming school at the site were first reported in 2024, with decals later going up at the unit in August 2025.
Booking offer
Swimwell has announced a launch offer for the new Stafford pool, with a yearly payment option of £500, normally £720, giving a saving of £220.
Bookings can be made through the Swimwell Stafford page:
An official opening day is also planned for June, with more details still to be confirmed.
