About the event
Try something a little different this Easter at this beginner friendly Easter Egg Workshop, where visitors can learn the traditional art of decorating eggs using hot natural bees wax.
The session offers a calm, hands on introduction to Ukrainian Pysanka art, with guidance throughout to help people create a pattern they can manage and finish. Organisers say the workshop has a grounding feel, using natural materials, candles and the smell of melting bees wax.
As part of the experience, visitors will also hear more about the story behind traditional Pysanka eggs and the technique used to make them. All materials, guidance and empty eggs are provided, along with a taste of Ukrainian Easter cake.
The workshop takes place on 22 March 2026 from 1.30pm to 4pm at Bridgeford Village Hall. The cost is £30 per person.
